This series features a roundup of my latest outfits to help inspire your own! This special edition is from our recent week in New York City.
I hope that you find these outfit roundups helpful and inspiring! Per some super helpful suggestions I have added a little description of what each outfit was for before the outfit details on each look below. You can find some older What I Wore posts here. If you have any questions please let me know! P.S. Working on getting a post together that has our full itinerary for this trip!
An early morning flight into the city called for something that was comfortable, but also cute enough to explore the neighborhood as soon as we got settled. This outfit will be on repeat this fall! Also, let it be known that these flats were the star of the trip. I have other pairs of Margaux shoes so I knew they were comfortable, but I really put these to the test this trip. Hear me when I say, not a single blister! Making these my official travel shoe!
EARLY MORNING WALK
There was a chill in the air the week we were in the city so this sweater coat ended up being the best thing that I packed. You'll see how much I wore it below, but here I threw it on over bike shorts and a tee for a long morning walk.
AFTERNOON AT THE MET
This dress was so perfect for the weather. It is a thicker sweater material and so flattering on! Having trouble finding the navy still available. For reference, I did try on the white version and honestly loved it just as much. This one is from a recent drop and you know it is in my cart! I size up one size in this brand.
Pulled this fun sweater dress out for my Broadway debut. Loved the bolder puff sleeve on this one. Also, needs to be said that these sling backs are back this year and an under $100 must!
MUSEUMS, CASTLES, AND MORE
This was a busy day bouncing around the city! It may have been the coolest day of the week, so this sweater coat was essential. Luckily, it looked perfect over my navy romper which is on a major sale here! Definitely not a fan of the belt it comes with. I tossed it!
I scoured the internet to find this Maje dress from last year, so was thrilled when I found one new with tags. The buttery yellow with the brown and black tones throughout just screams fall to me! Unfortunately I can't link this gem anywhere, but have linked to one I love just as much.
CENTRAL PARK, SHOPPING, AND AFTERNOON TEA
I knew this dress would be a favorite and I was right. It sold out shortly after I purchased, but they do tend to restock so I've linked it below. Hoping and wishing they will restock in new colors too!
MADISON AVENUE, GRAND CENTRAL, & EXPLORING
Picked up this dress on a whim and looking back I can't believe that it almost didn't make it into the suitcase! The deep emerald color is so striking and I love the material. I ordered up a size for a looser fit than the model shown online.
