A Perfect Fall Picnic

It seems that we have finally entered Fall weather here in East Tennessee! After months of humid southern heat, the crisp air is a welcome and refreshing change. While I know we are fortunate to be in a place where we experience all four seasons, it seems that Fall and Spring are mere weeks when compared to Winter and Summer! This can be quite the bummer since Fall is my favorite season, but because of this I have found ways to savor every moment when it finally does make its return!

A few years ago, I started compiling a Fall Bucket List and now it has become a tradition of sorts. I published one here a few years ago if you are curious. Regardless of the year, they are always full of baking as well as plenty of activities that keep us outdoors! When I wrote this Fall bucket list back in 2017, I knew I would be quite a stretch to get to everything. One of the things that I never got to check off was an outdoor picnic. Two years later, I can finally check that box!! When Emily and Jessica made the trip to town, we knew we had to make an outdoor picnic happen. Especially since we were staying at RT Lodge, which is one of the most beautiful, cozy places in East Tennessee!

A picnic is one of my favorite things to do when getting together with friends, family, or even as a low key date night! I love the relaxed atmosphere that a picnic creates. Everyone automatically lets their guard down when they are surrounded by nature and are lounging on a picnic blanket, don't you think?! Plus, the setup is super simple if you have the right pieces on hand! Fortunately, Picnic Time has made this part a breeze with their Belmont Picnic Basket which comes with small plates, utensils, and glasses for four. All perfectly packed I might add! It also features an insulated section that is zippered off to keep food and drinks chilled.

If you are looking to add a little extra to your picnic like we were, the wooden serving pieces are the perfect place to start. This 3 tiered serving ladder was by far my favorite, but there are so many options to choose from like this cheese board set or this beautiful bowl!

As we head into November, I hope that this inspires you to grab a loved one, a blanket, a basket and savor this season!

A special thank you to Picnic TimeDraper James, RT Lodge, and Morgan Smythe Photography for making this post possible! As always, all thoughts and opinions are my own. Thank you so much for supporting the brands that make Going For Grace possible!
