October Bucket List

Well good news friends, I just realized that Monday is a holiday and I am embarking upon a long weekend. Praise hands anyone?! This gives me the perfect opportunity to check some of the items off of my October Bucket List. I typically make monthly bucket lists in my head, so I thought it would make for a fun monthly post to actually type them out!

October is such a fun month. I feel like the first leaves changing is to me like the first snow fall is to Lorelai Gilmore...

"Everything's magical when it snows, everything looks pretty. The clothes are great. Coats, scarves, gloves, hats."

Since we don't get much snow here in Tennessee, the first leaves changing color is what is magical to me. And while I hate to disagree with the Gilmore wit, I'd say Fall clothes beat out Winter clothes any day! I hope you enjoy this list and let me know what's on your own!

October Bucket List

Make all things apple - Pies, muffins, and granola.

Finish two books - I have been slacking in the reading department of life. In fact, I still haven't finished the book I was reading in August! I know I know - Get it together Lauren!

Do a kitchen cabinet purge - This one is a long time coming! I got on a serious role about 6 months ago when Emily Ley's A Simplified Life came out, but somehow things just crept their way back in. This is a must do.

Have a Halloween costume party with the family - Yes family, did you read that?! This is the year.

Finish the last seasons of Suits - I need to do this in order to move on with my life. This show has consumed me for the last month. It's one of those shows that is so good that I dread the day that I finish it, but also know I need to for my own good.

Go on daily walks - Michael and I have grown to love our nightly phone less walks together. I never understood why people walked, but I can definitely tell a difference in my own mental health on the days that we miss!

Go apple picking - I was so disappointed when I waited too long to go last year. Top priority!
