“Actually, the best gift you could have given her was a lifetime of adventures."

what i'm reading
  • How My Neighbor Stole Christmas has been cracking me up. The dialogue is ridiculous and humorous and I’m loving the storyline for the holidays. Haven’t hit any open door scenes yet, but as always you could easily skip or skim them.
  • A Christmas Carol—Decided to listen to it this year!
  • My Merry Mistake is next up in holiday romance.
what I'm watching
  • Watched Regretting You over the weekend and while I haven’t read the book, I’m confident in saying it’s probably 100x better than the movie. It was good and drama filled (made my jaw drop several times), but it really glossed over a lot. It left me thinking it would have been much better in a series format where they could have taken a few storylines deeper.
  • Landman—We get Paramount just to watch this show.
  • The End of An Era docuseries on Disney+. Even if you aren’t a Taylor Swift fan, it’s such a good watch. If you are a Taylor Swift fan…buckle up. The first two episodes were such a range of emotions. Michael and I both looked at each other in tears multiple times.
  • If you have any interest in New York, you’ll love Owning Manhattan on Netflix. I wasn’t much of a Ryan Serhant fan back when he was on Million Dollar Listing, but I will say, you see him in a different light in this one.
what I'm listening to
  • Every December I go through a Christmas overload where I need to listen to anything but Christmas music. We are there and Suki Waterhouse is our palate cleanser before diving back in. Some favorites on repeat are Moves, Good Looking, and OMG.
  • But here’s my more modern Christmas playlist for the jump back in.

what I'm making
  •
what I'm wearing
  • It’s a full work week with a high of 38 degrees, so you’ll have to pry me out of the warmth of my leather pants. Love this front seam pair for a splurge and this J.Crew pair for a save.
  • This black sweater dress from the NYC trip is back in stock! Short, warm, perfectly loose, but not too loose. Looking at the gray too. (You can find my full What I Wore in NYC here.)
  • Question for more affordable black boots like these black leather ones from last week’s note and lucky for us, these J.Crew ones are on sale! Similar in heel height and shape. These from Everlane are even more similar, but I’ll have to keep my eyes peeled for a restock of the leather.
what I'm shopping
  • Louise Carmen journals. I’m obsessed. And my algorithm knows it. How I missed this in Paris, I’ll never know.
  • Randomly caught a video of Taylor Swift in the suite at this weekend’s Chiefs game with a video camera in her hand. Immediately, I knew it was the Camp Snap 8 which had been sitting in my cart for over two weeks. Nothing like the fear of social media catching on and selling it out to make me push the order button. Mine arrives in two days… Would make a fantastic gift!
  • Most purchased Christmas present this year is the Marshall Emberton speaker. We own and love it so much that I want the Stanmore.
  • Just ordered this hand lotion in hopes of saving my hands this winter. I love the Santal & Vetiver scent, but it was slower shipping time so I’m trying the Black Rose & Oud. Update—The Black Rose & Oud scent is divine.
what I'm doing
  • Making more Christmas cookies
  • Planning our Christmas Eve menu
  • Gift wrapping night with Four Christmases

With love,
Lauren
