what i'm reading
  • Finishing up The Secret History. Always a fall favorite.
  • Just picked up a copy of Frankenstein to add to my classics collection because the movie gutted me.
  • Merry Christmas You Filthy Animal is my romance read of the week. I’m halfway through it and am finding it very light-hearted and comical so far. I actually haven’t read the first one yet, How My Neighbor Stole Christmas, so I’ll probably bounce back to it after this one. Heads up, 99.9% sure it’s an open door romance in case that’s a no go for you.
what I'm watching
  • Frankenstein, obviously. Like I said above… Gutted me. We watched it two weeks ago and, I swear to goodness, I’ve thought about it every day since.
  • Not Her Fault on Peacock. A total binge. Infuriating, jaw dropping, mortifying. A must, honestly.
  • Champagne Problems on Netflix. I had high hopes. Paris, Minka Kelly, Christmas. Three of my favorite things. It had glimmers of potential, but didn’t quite pull through for me. We watched it for the Paris scenes.
what I'm listening to
  • Olivia Dean… I mean, who isn’t? In rotation at the moment are So Easy (To Fall In Love), Nice To Each Other, Let Alone The One You Love, Baby Steps, A Couple Minutes, Man I Need, Ok Love You Bye, Reason To Stay.
  • This playlist until further notice.
what I'm making
  • On a major soup/chili for dinner kick this month and have been rotating veggie chili, vegetable soup, and a pasta fagioli situation that’s been the perfect mix. Michael randomly asked chat gpt for a vegan cornbread recipe to go with one night. We added jalapeños and I must admit… It delivered.

what I'm wearing
what I'm shopping
what I'm doing
  • We’re headed to NYC for a long weekend of shopping, Christmas scenes, and museum hopping! Neue Galerie, vintage stores, Waverly Inn, and the Knicks are on the docket.

With love,
Lauren
